LAGARTOS PRESENT AT ESPORTS FEST

December 12th, 2021 - Antara Polanco, Mexico City

Our first experience as a team.

3 months after having entered the esports industry, we were fortunate to attend the Esports Fest held at Arena The Place to Play-Antara Polanco. The players and the coach were very nervous, as they were completely new to this and there were players with branded jerseys everywhere. That did not take away the illusion of competing, and we can say that despite the nerves, three of our members stood out in the tournaments they competed in; Ian (Ian Calrissian), FIFA player in third place, Rodrigo (Parsival), Mortal Kombat player in second place and Luis, Halo Infinite player but who won first place in Mario Kart.

It was a pleasant experience, because we living it more as a team than as students was noticed, it was like a great gathering of friends and the atmosphere was in our favor, since we were surrounded by people with the same tastes. 

In addition, Crunch from Nestle, sponsor of the event, delighted us with a lot of popsicles, super cool, really.

LAGARTOS PRESENT AT HALO CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES MEXICO

July  22 - 24, 2022 - Centro Citibanamex, Mexico City

One of the most anticipated events in Mexico during 2022 in which we were invited by Gaming Partners. Being there, with the entire gaming community, was great. Halo fans are very warm and very competitive, but despite the competitiveness the atmosphere never felt heavy, there were teams everywhere, with their jerseys on and everyone looking at each other to know who they were, but in the good sense, to share experiences, advice, or consolidate new friendships.

Maybe more activities were needed, but Monster and Arena The Place to Play did a good job with their booths, always being friendly and helpful.

We can say that being there was very good to expand our experience and list of contacts.

Without a doubt, the competitive world of gaming is so exciting that we are left with a very good experience.

LAGARTOS PRESENT AT QUERETAVERSO

August 05, 2022 - Santiago de Querétaro, Querétaro.

The most exciting and shocking event so far. Within this congress we were fortunate to be together with large companies from the creative digital industry and National and International experts, where the Municipality of Queretaro sought to generate a space for learning, discovery and entrepreneurship in the video game industry, metaverses, virtual reality and augmented reality.

Our director gave a conference on esports in Universities and its impact on education from our point of view as a team with a complete esports educational program.

"It was something that I would certainly like to repeat, we had the opportunity to make ourselves known and many people were attracted to the idea that esports can be a good way to improve education, new alliances were formed, people who seek to contribute and people who look to us for an opportunity. This is just the beginning of something great" said Alex Sesmas, Director of the program.

Here at Lagartos Esports we loved being part of an international congress that will connect us with the future and we are willing to be that change that the country needs.

LAGARTOS; UNIVERSITY ESPORTS TOUR Hosts

November 23, 2022 - Tlalnepantla de Baz, State of Mexico.

One of the best events we've been to, especially because this time we were hosts. The emotion was evident in each one of us, in the coaches, in the players and in the students who little by little became interested in being part of something big. 

We received the largest University Esports league in Mexico at the hands of Telcel and we gave everything from both, so that the good atmosphere was in the most tense moments that the end of the semester represents.

The FIFA and Mortal Kombat tournaments brought out the best players on Campus, Just Dance managed to set the mood for the most introverted, and the PC Gamers line caught everyone's attention.

Without a doubt the best of the year.

LAGARTOS; WINNERS OF THE LOCAL STAGE OF INNOVATECNM 2023

May 23 - 25, 2023 - Tlalnepantla de Baz, State of Mexico.

Student event that aims to collaborate with the public, private and social sectors in the consolidation of technological development and innovation in the country; Strengthen the innovative and entrepreneurial culture to increase competitiveness at a national and international level.

At this event, the management team behind "LAGARTOS" had the opportunity to present the Esports proposal that we have been working on since 2020. We are talking about a process with a business focus; Market studies, business models and plans, speech strategies, quality control, KPI's implementation, and everything that is not seen behind a competitive team.

We are very proud to say that we were winners of this stage, in its new category "Creative Industries". For us, having won meant a journey of blood, sweat, tears, study, failure and a lot of effort, an effort that not many see.

This victory puts us in the regional stage of this event, based in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. We don't know exactly what will happen, but what we do know is that we will never stop.

LAGARTOS; WINNERS OF THE REGIONAL STAGE OF INNOVATECNM 2023

Sep 19 - 22, 2023 - San Luis Potosí, Mexico.

Our work and efforts took us to San Luis Potosí to the regional stage, where we were able to give more scope to our value proposition on how Esports can help university students with experiences and opportunities within the industry.

This trip was the longest and most satisfying, with so much learning along the way. Our approach allowed us to attract the attention of several students, but above all, educational directors and businessmen.
